About the Shop
The Tinkering Gnome is a community-supported woodshop where I get to tinker and make beautiful things for people I love—from custom furniture to bandsaw boxes (like these) to hand-turned ornaments.
I also have a goal of making woodworking accessible to folks who don’t have access or feel comfortable in traditional shop spaces.
About Me
Hi! I’m Teo Drake. I’m a spiritual activist, an educator, a practicing Buddhist and yogi, and an artisan who works in wood and steel. When I’m not in the woodshop you can find me co-leading the Transforming Hearts Collective (a collective dedicated to the spiritual care and liberation of queer and trans people), serving on the national advisory board of the Transgender Law Center’s project Positively Trans, and teaching martial arts to kids and adults. Some of my musings live at the blog Roots Grow the Tree.
